英语中跟“money”有关的说法

1. Money talks金钱万能;金钱最有发言权。

[例]I can't compete against rich old Mrs. Smith. She will get her waybecause money talks.
我不可能同那个富有的史密斯老太太竞争。她可以随心所欲,金钱万能嘛!

2.hush money封住嘴巴的贿赂钱

The erooks paid Fredhush money to keep their whereabouts secret.
那些窃贼们给费雷德一笔贿赂钱,让他对他们的行踪保密。

3. Easy money轻而易举得来的钱
Easy就是容易，money就是钱。Easy money有两种不同的意思。Easy money可以指用花招或欺骗手段得来的不义之财。但是，easy money一般是指没有花什么功夫而得来的钱财。

例句: I heard about thehouse owner had to sell the house in a hurry, so I got it at a very low price.A week later I sold it for a 20,000-dollar profit. Talk about my easy money!
我听说这栋房子的房主急于要出售这房子，所以我以很便宜的价格买进了。一个星期后，我把它卖掉，从中赚了两万美元。这真是轻而易举得来的钱。

4.Money makes the mare go 有钱能使鬼推磨

中国有句古话说“有钱能使鬼推磨”(Moneymakes the mare go)。 钱是好东西，有钱自然是好事，它能帮你做很多想做的事情，也可以让你生活安逸。
例如：It's true that"Money makes the mare go", and it's equally true that "Moneysometimes unmakes its makers."
有钱能使鬼推磨是真,可是钱能毁了挣钱的人也是真的。

5. for my money

相当于in my opinion，意思是“要是我的话，以我说”
例如：I don't think Porter will win the cup this season, for my money; Mark has the best chance.
要我说，这个赛季Porter夺不了冠军，Mark的希望最大。
