1.如何拒绝小伙伴的邀请

 Thank you so much for the invitation, but I’m afraid I have prior arrangements.
  非常感谢您的邀请，但我已经有约了。

  不管怎样，拒绝的时候要先谢谢别人的邀请，再说清楚自己不能参加的理由。

 I am sorry. I have an emergency to attend to.
  不好意思，我现在有急事要办。

 
 I have an emergency to attend to. 意思是“我有急事要办！”
  别人请你帮忙，可你却另有急事要办，那就用上这句话吧！

 I can’t at that time, but I’m happy to help you later.
  现在不行，稍晚一会我很乐意帮你。

 I’d love to, but I’m afraid I can’t. Would another time be possible? How about tomorrow?
  我很想去，不过恐怕不行。可以换个时间吗？明天如何？

这也是一种非常礼貌的方式，你虽然拒绝了但是却告诉对方换个时间是可以的。


2.如何打断小伙伴的唠叨

 I understand what you’re getting at, but I’m just not interested at the moment.
  我了解你所说的事情，只是我现在不感兴趣。

  如果对方喋喋不休，自说自话，而你又有别的想法，不如这样打断对方。

 Is it okay if I call you back later? I’m right in the middle of something.
  等下我打你电话好吗？我正忙着呢。


3.如何拒绝请求帮忙

 I’d like to help you but I can’t take on any new commitments at the moment, I’m afraid.
  我很想帮助你，但现在恐怕无法再增加任何新任务了。

 That is not my strong suit.
  那不是我的强项。

 Actually, I think this is something you could do really well yourself!

 Why not have a go yourself, and give me a shout if you need help?
